OUR PHILOSOPHY
Kids Academy was established to provide quality child care and education for children
6 weeks to 12 years of age. With multiple locations, our Kids Academy of Sheffield Lake location, focuses on serving children ages 3-12 years old. We recognize the importance
for the balance of mental, physical and emotional growth through a variety of creative experiences. Kids Academy does not simply provide care, but attends to the total developmental needs of your child.

in childcare and education. Our Mission is to strive to provide the Highest Quality Childcare and Educational Service that promotes and enhances each child’s development; while assuring our parents’ peace of mind in the care and service we render.

OUR SHEFFIELD LAKE LOCATION
We are located within the facilities of Northern Ohio Adventist Academy,
at 555 Kenilworth Avenue in Sheffield Lake Ohio. Currently, we provide services for Preschool children ages 3 through 5 years; and Before/After School Program for children
ages 5-12 years old.
We will soon be opening a new location in Sheffield Lake to serve Infants & Toddlers:

HOURS OF OPERATION
Kids Academy of Sheffield Lake is open Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
We are closed on weekends and all major Holidays. We open for Schoolage All Day care, when their schools are closed due to Professional Development and/or minor holidays.
CHILD CARE LICENSE INFORMATION
Following all rules and regulations Kids Academy is licensed through the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. All parents are welcome to review our license and inspection reports along with the fire inspection and health inspection reports which are located in our office.

Your child is enrolled, or you may be considering enrolling your child, in a learning and development program with a level of quality that exceeds Ohio’s child care licensing standards. High-quality learning and development programs are important because early experiences last a lifetime. Your child has approximately 1,892 days from the time he or she is born until kindergarten. What happens on this journey lays the foundation for success in school and life. A Step Up To Quality Two-Star rated program means your child is in a program where:
• The administrator, lead teachers and assistant teachers complete 20 hours of specialized training every two years. The administrator and teaching staff are committed to expanding their knowledge and skills to better support your child’s development and learning.
• Teachers are familiar with Ohio’s Early Learning and Development Standards. Program staff members are aware that these standards are important to child development and they use this information to support your child’s growth and learning.
• Relationship-building with families is valued. The program administrators and staff build relationships with families and share information with families about community services and resources.
• Administrators are committed to continuous improvement. The staff strives to continuously improve the program and staff members look for ways to make their good program even better. By conducting self-assessments, the program staff members identify areas of strength and opportunities for improvement.
